Editorial Policy

CG Seva is an independent, privately operated website. It is not a Government of India portal and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any ministry, department or agency — see our full disclaimer.

We exist because government pay and welfare information is scattered across dozens of portals and PDFs. Our job is to gather it, explain it in plain language, and show the arithmetic — not to replace the official record.

We work from primary government sources. We do not build articles from other blogs, forwarded WhatsApp messages or social media claims, and we do not republish rumours as fact.

Where an article rests on a specific order, we name that order — its number and date — so you can look it up yourself. When something is a projection rather than a notified fact (an expected DA rate, a likely 8th CPC fitment factor), we label it as a projection and say what it is based on.

1. Research. We locate the primary order or dataset and read it in full, including annexures and effective dates.
2. Draft. A first draft is written. Research and drafting may be assisted by AI tools — we state this openly rather than pretend otherwise.
3. Human review. A named reviewer checks every figure, date and entitlement against the source document. Nothing is published on the strength of an AI draft alone.
4. Publication. The reviewer is credited on the page with their background, and the page carries a visible last-updated date.

Our reviewers are serving and retired Central Government and defence personnel. They are named, and each has a page describing their background.

Government rules change, and pages go stale. Two things follow from that.

We date everything. Articles and calculators carry a last-updated date. Where a dataset has its own validity window — ECHS empanelment agreements, for example — we show that status on the page rather than let a lapsed entry look current.

We correct openly. If you find an error, email support@cgseva.com with the URL and, if you have it, the order that shows the correct position. Confirmed errors are fixed promptly and the page's updated date changes so the correction is visible. We do not quietly delete pages to hide a mistake.

The site carries third-party advertising to cover hosting, and we accept direct sponsorship — see Advertise with us. Those arrangements are kept strictly separate from editorial:

• An advertiser cannot buy a favourable article, cannot approve copy before publication, and cannot have an article taken down.
• Sponsored content is labelled as sponsored at the top of the page, not buried at the bottom.
• Outbound links in sponsored content carry rel="sponsored". We do not sell links that pass ranking signals.
• Advertising never determines which government orders we cover or how we describe them.

Our readers are a standing target for a particular kind of fraud, so we refuse this category of content outright, whether offered as an article or as paid placement:

• Anything implying we are a government body, or that we can influence a recruitment, transfer, promotion or pension outcome.
• Paid recruitment or "guaranteed government job" offers.
• Investment or loan products promising guaranteed returns, or aimed at pensioners in a way we consider predatory.
• Pay commission rumours dressed up as notified decisions.
• Anything asking readers for their PPO number, service credentials, OTP or bank details.
